The upgrading of base oil hydrotreating is a crucial stage in the production of high-quality lubricants. Our Hydrotreating Plants employ advanced Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) technology to effectively remove sulfur compounds from diesel and naphtha streams. This process is essential for producing cleaner fuels that comply with stringent environmental regulations, including Euro 5 emission standards.

The HDS process utilizes hydrogen in the presence of specialized catalysts under controlled temperature and pressure conditions to convert sulfur compounds into hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), which is subsequently separated.

Hydrodesulfurization Process

Hydro reforming, also referred to as hydrocatalytic reforming, is an advanced refining process in which petroleum fractions such as naphtha or heavier hydrocarbons are treated with hydrogen at elevated temperature and pressure in the presence of a catalyst. This process enhances the molecular structure of hydrocarbons, converting lower-value feedstocks into higher-value products.

The hydro reforming process plays a key role in improving fuel quality by increasing octane levels, reducing impurities, and generating hydrogen for use in other refinery hydrotreating units. It supports the production of clean, high-performance fuels required for modern engines and petrochemical applications.

Hydroreforming Process

Hydroisomerization is a catalytic refining process used to improve the molecular structure of hydrocarbons by rearranging straight-chain paraffins into branched isomers in the presence of hydrogen. Unlike hydroreforming, hydroisomerization does not significantly crack hydrocarbons but instead improves product properties such as octane rating and low-temperature behavior. It plays an essential role in producing high-quality gasoline components and specialty fuels while maintaining high liquid yields.
